Scholarships are intended to serve individuals for whom the Governor's Housing Summit registration expense presents a financial hardship. No more than one person/organization may receive scholarship support, with one exception: if scholarships have been awarded to all viable candidates and funds are still available, a second participant can receive a scholarship. Scholarships cannot be transferred or shared. Timeline Scholarsip requests are due to the MFA by September 24, 2008. Scholarship recipients will be notified during the week of October 6th. All applicants who meet the criteria but do not receive a scholarship will be eligible for the early registration fee of $149. PLEASE NOTE: Governor's Housing Summit scholarships are for registration expenses only. Scholarship recipients are responsible for their own travel and accommodations expenses. The deadline for conference rates at the Embassy Suites Hotel ($105/night, based on availability) is October 14, 2008. |
