Federal Stimulus Programs Overview
More than $93 million in federal money has come to New Mexico to bring affordable housing opportunities and energy efficiency upgrades to families across the state. The funding, which is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, is administered by MFA for homelessness prevention, weatherization services, and to build affordable housing across the state.

MFA also received $8.2 million for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program under the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008. NSP provides funding to purchase abandoned and foreclosed properties, rehabilitate them, and resell them to low- and moderate-income families.
