The Homeownership Department is responsible for providing
affordable housing opportunities by offering below-market interest rate
mortgage programs to very low-to moderate-income first-time homebuyers.
MFA offers several unique first and second mortgage programs designed
to help families realize their dream of homeownership. MFA partners
with a statewide network of participating lenders who deliver our products
to prospective homeowners throughout New Mexico.
Erik Nore – Department Manager/Homeownership
Oversees the Homeownership Department staff in the marketing and administration
of all of the MFA’s single family mortgage loans products. Also
responsible for establishment of program policy and procedures, achieving
department production goals, conducting research and long-term program
planning.
Anita Racicot – Homeownership Specialist
Available to help lenders, Realtors® and prospective homebuyers
use and understand MFA loan products, including Mortgage$aver, Mortgage$aver
Plus and all second mortgage down payment assistance programs. Also
responsible for compliance review, funding tracking, reporting, training
and communicating all second mortgage program guidelines to lenders.
Has extensive knowledge of HOME program guidelines, including the Payment$aver,
Helping Hand and Smart Choice programs. Anita has 15 years of experience
in MFA’s single family programs and is the resident expert in
the Homeownership Department.
Cynthia Marquez– Lending Coordinator
Serves as the primary contact for MFA participating lenders and master
servicers. Works with lenders to provide guidance and responds to information
requests from lenders, Realtors, non-profit partners and prospective
homebuyers. Monitors the loan pipeline of all MFA products, assists
lenders to complete reservations through the on-line reservation system
and provides a multitude of reports to various departments throughout
MFA regarding the Homeownership program.
Teri Baca – Homeownership Representative
Acts as an outreach provider for MFA Homeownership programs. Travels
extensively throughout the state to conduct training for various parties,
including lenders, Realtors® and non-profit partners. Focuses training
on program guidelines and the on-line reservation systems. Also distributes
MFA marketing materials to our network of program participants throughout
the state.
Eunice Mondragon – Homeownership Representative
Acts as an outreach provider for MFA Homeownership programs. Travels
extensively throughout the state to conduct training for various parties,
including lenders, Realtors® and non-profit partners. Focuses training
on program guidelines and the on-line reservation systems. Also distributes
