HOME Tenant Based Rental Assistance (HOME TBRA)
The HOME Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Program provides a one time cash assistance to tenants for security deposits, utility deposits and/or several months of rent subsidy to allow low income tenants to secure permanent or transitional housing. The primary objective is to allow individuals or families to transition out of homelessness.
Assistance will be offered through contracts with applicants which regularly serve homeless or potentially homeless individuals or families. Preference is given to applicants who propose to serve more than one community either directly or through coalitions and consortia.
