Village in the Bosque, a 98-unit complex in Bernalillo, recently reopened after completing an extensive rehabilitation project. The developer, Santa Fe Civic Housing Authority, received $11.5 million through MFA's Low Income Housing Tax Credit program to fund the project. Village in the Bosque provides affordable, energy-efficient housing to very low-income families and individuals.
MFA was honored to receive a special achievement award from the National Council of State Housing Agencies at its annual conference in Nashville. The award was for an innovative solution MFA created to standardize the installation and inspection of energy efficiency measures in homes. Housing Finance Agencies in 25 states are now using this method.
